Privacy Policy & POPIA Notice

This notice explains how BizStart Solutions handles personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). It should be reviewed by the business owner and a legal adviser before launch.
Who we are
BizStart Solutions ("we") is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Privacy contact: admin@bizstartsolutions.co.za.
What we collect and why
- Consultation enquiry form: your name, business name (optional), email address, contact number, the service you need and your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and to provide quotes and services you request.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address and optional first name, used to send the guides and updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- WhatsApp: if you click the WhatsApp button, your chat is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy. We only see what you choose to send.
- Technical data: like most websites, our host may keep basic server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
We do not ask for identity documents, passwords or banking details through the enquiry form or the chat assistant. Please do not send them there.
BizStart Assistant (AI chat)
The website includes an AI assistant that answers questions using BizStart Solutions' published information. When you send a message, your message and the recent messages from the same chat are sent securely to our server, and then to an external AI provider so a reply can be generated. We do not store chat transcripts on our server. The AI provider processes the text under its own terms, and may retain it for a limited period according to its policies. AI answers are general information only. Please do not include personal, financial or identity details in your messages.

How enquiries are processed
Enquiries are sent by email to our business mailbox through our website's email delivery service. Our team reads them and replies by email, phone or WhatsApp. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use these categories of provider to run the website: web hosting, email delivery, the AI provider described above, and Google Fonts for typography (your browser requests fonts from Google when you load a page).
Retention and deletion
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond, deliver services you request, and meet legal or accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your information, subject to those obligations.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will add a consent option first.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to object to certain processing. Contact admin@bizstartsolutions.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Security
We use encrypted connections and keep service credentials on the server, not in your browser. No system is completely secure, so please share only what is necessary.
Changes
We may update this notice and will change the date at the top when we do.
